ARTIST STATEMENT
As
a local artist who has traveled extensively in
the United States and Europe, I believe that I
live in one of the most beautiful places on
earth. My husband and I also maintain a
residence on the Gulf Coast in Destin, Florida,
so the beauty of these two places have
influenced my art for years. After a
successful career as a textile colorist and
designer, I have returned to serious painting.
The washes in these watercolors and the added
texture techniques create free expressions of
some of my favorite places. I look forward
to traveling to my next painting. |
